About Me:: I am getting ready to start teaching my 5th year in a rural public high school. I teach 11th and 12th grade Language Arts and next year I will also teach 2 sections of concurrent credit English Comp through LCC. Prior to being at my current school, I taught at a private elementary school and at the University of Kansas. Before my teaching-life, I was doing research in the field of behavior analysis and worked with typically developing children, adults with disabilities and adults with stroke.

Favorite activity is geeking out on the web and keeping up with the latest "stuff" in education. Always been a tech geek, hopefully always will be. We have a 1:1 wireless campus (I know I am very spoiled).

There is nothing greater than preparing my students for their world after high school. I take the job very seriously, but I enjoy every minute of it.

When I can pull myself away from school stuff, I enjoy fishing with my husband, hanging out with my dogs, hiking and reading.
